however, mine goes back to when pigpen died. i wondered how the dead would be able to go on. getting keith and donna was sure not the answer a lot of us back in those days. but go on they did. not as good - but go on they did. jerry is indeed a different story. i'd agree. but back then they were all equal. and pig was a big part of the band. still is. to me.

Subject: awesome show

I drove down from Indianapolis to see this show, and this is the first show I saw since Jerry died when I thought "The Grateful Dead are back." Awesome, I was tripping balls and thought the show was spectacular, esp the faces in the ceiling, and there was a "scene" outside the venue with some guy drumming. Then of course that summer the Other Ones came out and "shows" were back in style after the crappy 96 & 97 Furthur Festivals. & Now we have Furthur & it couldn't be better only if the fat man himself came back from the dead and joined the Dead. Damnit I still miss Jerry. sniff sob.
